If you’re working in the Philippines, the Employee Compensation Program 2025 is something you should definitely know about. It’s a government program that protects employees in case of work-related injuries, illness, disability, or death.

Think of it as a safety net that steps in when something unfortunate happens due to your job. Best of all? You don’t have to pay a single peso your employer does.

Managed by SSS for private sector workers, OFWs, self-employed members, and household workers, and by GSIS for government employees, this program provides crucial financial and medical assistance to workers and their families.

Overview

The Employee Compensation Program (ECP) works like insurance but is fully funded by employers. Whether you’re a full-time employee or self-employed, once you’re covered by SSS or GSIS, you’re protected starting from day one of employment.
